“Words cannot express my gratitude for the generosity shown to My Family and me from the staff”
This past month, I walked into Social Service Association, as I have done every month for the past 5 years. On this particular day, however, I was going to be telling them that the day had finally come where my family felt stable enough to move on from needing their assistance. To be honest, it was bittersweet. Not only would I miss the assistance (of course), but I would miss the friendly faces I have grown to care for over these past years. On the other hand, I knew it was something to celebrate because our family has worked hard to get to a better financial position and we had achieved it.
I started 5 years ago as a single mom to one son. Now, five years later, I’m married and a mother to another son (born in 2018) and two stepdaughters. The staff at Social Services has witnessed my life change and blossom. I owe part of my “success story” to their kindness and help through difficult times.
Social Services Association has blessed my family incredibly during the time we were involved there. Holiday food boxes, birthday and holiday gifts for our children, monthly food vouchers and summer camp assistance are just some of the ways they have helped us. Words cannot express my gratitude for the generosity shown to me and my family from the staff and the anonymous donors in the area.
Thank you. Thank you so very much for your support during these years and for the support you will continue to give to those who are in similar financial hardships. You are truly a blessing to the community.

There isn’t enough Thanks to give for this wonderful organization “social service association” and all the amazing volunteers. With out SSA I wouldn’t be able to give my children the opportunity for adventures that is offered as well as provided meals everyday for them to eat. They also go above and beyond to help me and my family for personal responsibility to keep a roof over my kids heads in a beautiful town as Ridgewood. I also grew up in Ridgewood so to be able raise my kids in a same town is a dream. As they say it take a village to raise a kid, and that is definitely what I have with everyone at Social Service Association

A friend visited me with his wife and their grandchild., Knowing that I live alone, from the bags full of goodies I got..... From Your Bountiful Well Managed Pantry.... We were able to enjoy a sumptuous meal and snacks....to celebrate Our INDEPENDENCE DAY. I am Very Grateful Indeed to Your Whole Team for The Untiring Service that You are Doing to Serve The underprivileged citizens in this community. Including me.
“Ridgewood SSA has helped me so much throughout the years”
I have been a client of Ridgewood Social Services Association since July 2011. I am a single mother of beautiful boy that was born in 2009. I work full time and earn enough to pay my rent and household expenses. Ridgewood SSA has helped me so much throughout the years. I truly appreciate everything that Ridgewood SSA does for my son and I. Without this organization I would probably be homeless because I wouldn’t be able to afford my rent and expenses without the assistance that SSA helps me with.
When I feel like everything is falling apart I feel confident that everything will be ok because of Ridgewood SSA
